We had a lovely stay at Dinky Dis... so lovely in fact that we ended up staying three nights instead of one! Di was kind and helpful and had left some drinks and snacks to greet us when we arrived just what was needed as we drove out of the desert. The dugout itself is cosy with modern furnishings and appliances and was warm even on cold desert evenings. Beds comfy, showers hot and powerful. Theres enough space for two families to stay and/or have an evening in and the Coober Pedy Main Street is about a 20 minute walk. Overall we thought it was a really high quality experience and Id rate it higher than the normal stay you get from e.g. an Airbnb in most cities.
