We visited the information centre recently asking where we could noodle (look for opal ) and the staff told us to only go to area H or public area, the staff said if we went out to opal field, we would arrest by police. On the other hands, I was talking to local miners and they said we could look for opal in the field as long as we didn't go on a current claim and to be very careful of the deep mine shafts and keep away from equipment. The information center made us very dispointing and also lied to us. Stay hydrated, watch your step and respect others.
