Got towed out of William creek. Seat belt and air con in the truck didnt work. No worries. Got led on for nearly a week saying parts were on there way. Went to another mechanic in town who had the parts in stock and fitted ourselves. Was told they didnt like dealing with other mechanics in town, which is funny because I dont like spending a week of my time and $$$$ when there is the appropriate part in town.
RUN AWAYYYYY !!!!! Really disappointed by the work of this garage. Weve been here for a simple service in our camper van. The mechanic who never smile and not talk so much, put too much oil in it. When we came back to tell him that, his answer was : thats ok no worries. Pardon me ? If there is a low and a full level I dont think it is no worries. He finally did a better level because we insisted a lot. We are not even sure he replaced the oil filter... when I asked too see the old one, he was not confident at all and told us he through it away. Im going to do a new service in the next big city because Im too afraid this one is not well done.
Those people try to rip you off! Went there and they checked my engine, said it was not possible to drive more than 40 km and that the repair would cost minimum $1000. They offered me to buy my car and could buy a new one from them.. I didnt want all that so I wanted to leave, they charged me $120 for 15 minutes work. I drove all the way to Adelaide, a bit more than 40 km! And there the repair was not even half the price!
These guys are criminals. They will rob you blind every chance they can get. Two expierences with them so far. First header tank on the falcon went. He said it would take three days for a new one to get in. After offering to order a new one and take a second hand one off a customers car he asked me to pay double the price of a new one and then gave me a second hand one from his shelf out back. Twice the price, and i fitted it myself. Another expierence some friends broke down out of town with a busted CV joint and wheel bearing. He said he couldnt fix it and it HAD to be towef to port augusta for over $2000 + repair costs in port augusta. I grabbed parts from adelaide in a day and drove up and fixed the car in 2 hours. Theres no reason the parts couldnt have been sent to coober pedy in a day and fixed in two. That fix cost under a $1000. Coober Pedy RAA are criminals.
